August Book Haul

Finally I get to share my love for books! I have a love for writing and an even greater love for reading. After months of watching YouTube book talks, and weeks of considering starting my own YouTube book talk channel, I figured I could combine my two great loves, reading and writing. The result? A new category on my blog, yayyyyy!!!!

Welcome to this months book haul:

In this month’s pile:

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell: I watched some really positive book talks about this novel and when I recently went in to my favourite book store to pick up a delivery, I saw this on one of the shelf’s. I bought it right there and then. I’m pretty sure I’ll be reading this one first.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky: I’ve seen the film a few times and one of my really good friends loves this books, it’s one of those movies that you want to love but there’s always something missing, I bought the book hoping it will fill that gap and give me that something extra that I know it has to offer.

Looking for Alaska by John Green: All things John Green speak to my heart and I’m sure this will be no exception!

The Gift by Cecelia Ahern: The author of P.S I Love You? Sound familiar? I saw this novel while thrift shopping with my mother, for R10 this book was a steal.

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol: Alice in Wonderland was a huge part of my childhood, it was almost as important to me as Peter Pan (almost), and this novel has been on my “To Read” list for a while so when I passed the “Classics” section in the bookstore I decided to buy it and complete this month’s book haul.

Watch this space for book talks (or rather book posts) on all this month’s novels!

Have you read any of the books in my book haul for this month? Let me know what you thought of them!
